Summarizing Statement

This e-portfolio is the capstone culminating project for the Educational Technology Master's program at the University of Delaware. While completing this performance, I have reflected upon all of the performances I created throughout my course work in this program. I have reflected on how they are aligned with the AECT standards, as well as furthering my educational technology foundations and professional development as a lifetime learner. My Multimedia eLearning Environment is an independent instructional unit for the third grade, which can be used as an extension unit for my Curriculum Project author study. The Needs Assessment evaluated the effectiveness of interactive whiteboards and whether it was a worthwhile investment for my school district to upgrade the old outdated boards with new ones. My Curriculum Project is a cross-curricular unit for the third grade featuring an author study targeting both ELA and social studies instruction. The Action Research Project analyzes the effectiveness of the cognitive theory of multimedia learning through the implementation of my Instructional Design unit. My Instructional Design is a cross-curricular unit for the third grade targeting both ELA and science instruction. Finally, the School Technology Plan evaluates the necessary tools to implement my Curriculum Project. In the following sections, I detailed how these performances are aligned with the various AECT standards, challenged me as an elementary school educator, and pushed me as a student to demonstrate and apply my learning.
